Hi there! I thought it would be fun to show you some inside of what kind of assignments I get at school. And to show you some of the things I have made/designed.
For those of you who don’t know, I am an interior design student. I studie at the HMCollege in Amsterdam. If you want to read more about choosing my studie, I got a fun article for you here. My studie is a lot of fun, mostly because I get to be creative most of the time. I have to make collages and floor plans and I also have to make product proposals. Oh well, without further ado here is some recent work I made for school!
This was a for a “store” (not a real one) that needed a new collection and therefor some inspiration. So I first had to look into the style of the store and then I made this concept board.
This is my first ever floor plan I drew for an assignment. The assignment was to design your dream room, sadly enough you couldn’t make up the size of the room, but this is what I made of it. The funny thing is, I would like something completely different right now. Well maybe not completely but my style has definitely changed the last couple of months (this assignment wat at the beginning of the year). The room also looks a bit empty, oh well.
These two pictures are of an other assignment, where you had to design a student dorm for an other classmate. I really liked figuring out the style of my “customer” and trying to designing something she loved.
This collage is for a hotel appartement we had to design. We each had to choose a style to design and decorate the room in. And mine was spirituality. The purpose of making a collage is to get a feel of the style and figuring out what kind of things you think match with that particular style. Because your customer might have a totally different idea.
Well that will be it for now. If you liked this post please let me know and I might incorporate more posts like this on here. Also feel free to ask me any questions if you have any, or just leave me a message about what you would like to see on here.
until next time.
